Suspending cards is useful if you have a deck and aren't ready to learn some cards. For instance I have a katakana deck and at this point I only want to learn the simple (i.e. no " and no compound katakana). To 'hide' the katakana cards I am not ready to learn, I 'suspend' them.
To Suspend a card or cards:
Edit the deck. Use either Edit->Edit Deck or the icon in the tools bar to do this.
- Select the cards you want to suspend.
In the Actions->Cards pull-down at the top of the editor select "Add Tag..."
- In the Card-specific tags text field enter "Suspended"
- Close the editor.
The cards you don't want to see are still in your deck but at this point will no longer be reviewed.
